June 1995...the eighty freshmen first set foot at Philippine Science High School as students. Most of them, except for the Ateneo de Davao graduates, were shy and quiet. They kept to themselves and talked only to their former classmates or to those who talked to them first. After a while, threy were divided into three classes. Karen, Rhoda, Mendrado IV, Michael Galero, Mark Palma Gil, Kristian, Ana, Angelica, Ma. Katrina, Peter Perez, Ryan, Ariz, Mariel, Michelle, Eleanor, Emerson, Yves, Carmelle Lapeña, Adelle, Paul, Jenny, Avelino, Robert, Natasha and Snow Boy were in Diamond. The second group called our was Gold: Michael Abundo, Martin, Norman, Desiree, Ronald Gumawa, Patrick Castañares, Ivan, Ronald Gumawa, Kimberley, Jefferson, Mark Lura, Jeffrey Madolora, Erwil, Peter Siarot, Earth, Patrick Velasco, Carmel Binoya, Mae, Jocelyn, Glenn, Donnah, Wenna, Ethel, Julie, Nened, Catherine, Hilza and _________. And the rest--Jeffrey Albores, Eric, Kenneth, Maria, Arbern, Jose Antonio, Froilan, Philip, Albert, Ed, Veronica, Aceville, Melanie, John Ray, Rowena, Cynthia, Alvin, Josephine, Victoria, Katrina, Eden, Janiña, Precy, Denise, Grace, Ronald Gutierrez, Dianne and Angela--were in Pearl. After a week or so, Jeffrey Albores, Natasha and ___________, left the batch for different reasons and went their own way. Even in their first year, the batch was already well-loved by the faculty and the Extremz (PSHS-MC Batch '96).
