Grace's college application has been approved already. It's too late for her to apply at uc berkeley already 'cause the post marked deadline for the fall classes was november 1998. So she'll be attending college at skyline (not the one in Davao City), where she'll be completing her 60 sem units before she can apply for transfer to berkeley.

Grace says that the SAT is more of a measure of how much you know in a certain field of learning and whether or not that's satifactory enough to meet the college admission requirements. However, in the college admission jargon, a score of 500 in a subtest would admit you into any college (except some special cases, such as stanford). Anyway, Grace got a 530 in verbal and a 570 in math (sat1). She wasn't quite satisfied with her scores, but they say her scores are actually very satisfactory considering she only had a week (maybe 5 days) of preparation. She plans to take the test again maybe after the fall, when she can prepare better.
